About Us

Youth Min NZ was started by Bruce Crozier, as an initiative to serve youth leaders. He is working to connect with and include other youth leaders and practitioners.

Bruce is married to Nadine and they have one son, Ethan, who is currently 8 years old. They live in West Auckland and go to church at Inspire Church in Albany.

Bruce has been involved in youth ministry for over 20 years. He started off serving his youth group at Hawera A/G as a student leader. He became a youth leader, then a youth pastor, at what is now Our City Church in Henderson, Auckland. He also took on key leadership and oversight roles at Our City Church.

He has also been involved as a part of a regional team for Assemblies of God for the Auckland region. This involved events to connect and train youth leaders, as well as combined youth events.

He is currently an ordained Pastor with the Assemblies of God. He runs the Intermediate ministry at their church, as well as helping at the High School ministry. He is still involved regionally with A/G youth initiative, Fearless. And is a regional rep for GODTalk, a national youth evangelism strategy.

He remains passionate about young people and resourcing youth leaders. And loves to be part of supporting parents as well.

Some of our resources, events and connections are designed to develop your skills. Helping you lead young people into relationship with Christ. Growing you to be more effective. Others are to care for your heart and soul, so you stay healthy and refreshed. Helping you remain faithful and fruitful through this season of ministry.

Our Values

Kingdom - God's kingdom is expressed in many ways both individually and corporately. We value each expression as it reflects God's nature, principles and redemptive plan.

Connection - as we work together in relationship and partnership we are stronger and better equipped.

Generosity - our God is generous and so we want to reflect and encourage that in our interactions

Innovation - new tools and fresh ideas help us be more effective. Helping fulfill our calling and communicate our timeless message in a relevant way

Growth & discipling – the purpose of the church is to grow disciples. Engaging people as they are, leading them to relationship with Jesus, and to Christ-likeness.

Summary of Beliefs

We are a Christian based organisation and primarily exist to serve churches. Having said that, we are not exclusive and are happy to help other youth workers in their endeavours to serve young people, but below are a summary of our beliefs, just to let you know where we are coming from.

The Bible is God’s Word to all people and that none may add or take away from it, except at their peril. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Because it was inspired by God, the Bible is truth without any mixture of error and is relevant to our daily lives.

The Trinity
God has existed in relationship with Himself for all eternity. He is the eternally self-existent "I AM". He exists as one substance in three persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Each possess equal power and authority. Father, Son and Holy Spirit exist in, with and through each other. They are united eternally in fellowship, love and common purpose.

The Father
He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

The Son
Jesus Christ came to earth completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only solution for humanity to come into right relationship with God. He was born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for our sin and satisfy God’s demands for Holiness. He also demonstrated how to live in a way that honours God, sinless and miraculous. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we too can have an abundant and eternal life with God.

The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ. His presence assures us of our relationship with Christ.

We were all made in the image of God and are the supreme object of His creation. We were created for fellowship with God but became separated from Him because of sinful disobedience. Everyone is uniquely created, possesses dignity, and is worthy of respect & Christian love.

Humanity was created by God to exist forever. We will either be separated from God by sin, or with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

The sinless blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the only way of salvation for humanity. It is through this that we receive the forgiveness of sin. Salvation occurs when people repent of their sin and place their faith in the death & resurrection of Christ. Salvation is a gift from God and it cannot be earned through our own efforts.

The Church
The Church is the primary expression of God’s Kingdom here on earth. This is made up of local communities unified through faith in Christ. The Church is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying Him while bringing the gospel (good news) to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.

Second Coming
Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to earth for the second time to establish His Kingdom. This will occur at a date undisclosed by the Scriptures.
